I can see the ebb and flow of both the tide and your emotions in your lovely double exposures. May the waves carry your sentiments far and wide. Enjoy your reset with your family.
Ahhhh, I can feel all that! I'm so glad you're taking in the salt and sea. Enjoy your break! I too, love the mountains by the way but when you couple them with the ocean, that's the best!
I know what you’re talking about. As more a water person than a mountain one because of my background, water has a way of soothing everything, doesn’t it? Even when it is rough. I hope you’ll have a wonderful holiday.
I'm so happy for you that you can spend this lovely and relaxing time with your friends and family. Your photographs look both vibrant and soothing at the same time. They really capture the atmosphere of being by the sea in summer. Congratulations with your publication! 🤍
Manuela -- so glad you're able to spend time with family at the beach -- so wonderful to celebrate summer this way. And such synchronicity -- I've been swimming lately and just floating -- such wonderful release from this upside down/frightening world we're living in. And yesterday I went to the Santa Monica pier - and just looked over the edge and took a gazillion pictures of the waves....I love them so much -- was so healing. Went with an old friend from LACP - Doris Hausman Kogut who also took your class and really enjoyed it. I've missed your last 2 writings I think due to visiting my brother in Indiana...but the writing you had earlier about simplifying really struck a chord. Beautiful writing and images...thanks so much.
This is just lovely.. everything about it Manuela. I am so glad you are at the beach with extended family. That is where I am at as family comes to where I live on the water every summer. Everything you wrote about the ocean and waves is so true....I hope you enjoy the rest of your time and thank you for the reminder that love will prevail and that less screen time is best time!
I love the beach! It is a place I have been missing now that I'm in New Mexico. Always lovely words Manuela and very soothing to those who read them. Thank you! <3

Oh yes, my dream location: mountains by the ocean :)

Thank you! It really does. I have come to appreciate the ocean in a new way.

Thank you! I didn’t take many pictures at all, just a few to capture the mood. It’s been so relaxing.

So nice to hear from you. I am glad you are also experiencing the soothing qualities of water.
I hope to see you at our next meeting. I will send out another email this week.
I don’t think you missed any posts. I took two weeks off actually. :)

Thank you so much, Natalie! I am so glad you are back writing on Substack. I need to catch up on your posts.
This is so beautiful. I love how you’ve put into words all of my deepest feelings of the time we spent together and of the ocean!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! Swimming in the waves was truly my favorite part!
Manuela, now I am longing for summer vacations - just 6 months away down here!
