I just love watching my dog run with unbridled joy - it always brings a smile to my face. We’re currently in Oregon, and as soon as he knows we’re walking to the beach his pace quickens and he keeps looking up at me with happiness in his eyes.
I could look at the shadow passing over the side of the house all day. I love how shadows add texture and depth to everything - I'm endlessly fascinated with them! Your dog seems to be happy that it's May too! x
“A soft breeze moved through everything like a slow exhale.” So good to know that you got to breathe this all in. The intensity of blue and new green can be startling, saturated colour that seems out of place in northern light. These moments do lift us up, and we travel a little with the breeze. x

There's something so uplifting watching dogs just let off the lead, run off into the open spaces, following scents and sniffing the air with joy. I love the vivid colours of this time - the fresh limeness of new leaves and the deep blues of clear skys, without the haze of summer heat. It's such a wonderful time of year. I have to say I love the image of the red house and tree shadow - its a stunner!
