Hi everyone,
I forgot to add something to my last post, but maybe it is good to send this out separately anyways. This will be quick.
My first Substack Zoom “Creative Hour”
As I mentioned in my most recent newsletter, I will be hosting a “creative hour” on Zoom on Saturday, November 16, at 11 am CST.
Often when a workshop ends, students ask if there is any way we can keep going and continue to share work. And that’s where I received the idea of using this platform to host a once-a-month ‘creative hour’ for review, questions, feedback, discussions on creativity, vision, techniques, and more. Bring work to share!
I also thought it would be fun to have a theme each time for discussion and idea exchange if we get to it. This month’s theme will be “Slow Art In A Fast-Paced World.” It is something I have been thinking about a lot, and I even thought it could be an interesting workshop topic. Any thoughts, reactions, and ideas are welcome, but absolutely no pressure.
This Zoom session will be accessible for paid subscribers only.
However, if that is keeping you away, here is a link where you can donate a “pay what you can amount” and you can participate as well.
Subscribing is certainly the best way to support me, but I also understand if that’s not something you want to commit to at this time.
Please send me a quick message if you plan on participating. Thank you so much! I will then be sharing the Zoom link.
Ah, love this topic and would love to take part but I have a commitment this Saturday.
I've been thinking a lot about this for a while since most of the work I produce for commercial clients has to be almost immediate. The process from beginning to end at times only lasts 24 hours and it dies the moment someone scrolls past it.
I hope you have a great session, would be good to read some of the ideas presented there.
Meh!! I just read this too late. I hope it was a great session! I will like to know about future ones. BTW, I ADORE that photo! wow... just stunning!
